This month of May, The Manila Hotel honors all mothers with an array of activities and delectable offers namely, Project Hulmahan exhibit for the art lovers, an intimate tote bag painting workshop for the creative ones, and the sweetest of treats for the chocoholics. The Grand Dame aims to make moms feel extra special this month.
Project Hulmahan Art Exhibit
Just as a child’s first steps mark the beginning of a journey, Project Hulmahan signifies a step forward for Filipino ingenuity. Ladies Who Launch led by internationally-recognized Filipino actress and proud mother, Dolly de Leon, in partnership with Bayanihang Marikenyo at Marikenya, will bring Project Hulmahan art exhibit to the Grand Dame.
From May 8 to 20, the art exhibit will showcase sculptures and mixed media pieces—all using rescued shoe molds— created by both established and emerging artists who share a passion for helping others through their art. National artists Maestro Ryan Cayabyab and Kidlat Tahimik, sculptors Pete Jimenez, Jonathan Dangue, Julie Lluch-Dalena, and The Manila Hotel’s very own Rachy Cuna are some of the participating artists whose works will be featured in Project Hulmahan art exhibit at the hotel lobby and Art Gallery. Admission is free.
Tote-ally for Mom: A Tote Bag Painting Workshop
The Manila Hotel, in partnership with Bags of Geo, will hold a tote bag painting workshop ‘Tote-ally for Mom’. Happening at Roma Salon on May 13 from 3PM to 5PM, the workshop will be facilitated by Bags of Geo – a micro online business whose vision is to create practical, versatile, and reusable bags to help eliminate single-use plastic.
A seat to ‘Tote-ally for Mom’ entitles the participant to a tote bag kit that includes: one (1) 12×14 tote bag, one (1) set of fabric paint, two (2) brushes, one (1) small greeting card with dried flowers, one (1) pink box with ribbon and fairy lights, and afternoon snacks with beverage. At the end of the session, participants may bring home the tote bag as memento.
The Manila Hotel is offering the special rates of Php 1,250 nett for one (1) person and Php 2,000 nett for two (2) persons until May 12. Walk-in rate on May 13 is Php 1,400 for one (1) person and is subject to availability. These rates include the tote bag kit and afternoon snacks with beverage. Guest may likewise join the workshop for Php 700 nett for one (1) person which includes the tote bag kit only –afternoon snacks and beverages are not included.
