Terms and conditions 

1. The Manila Hotel will hold a promotional activity entitled “I Remember the Day” from July 22 to December 31, 2026.

2. The promotion is open to guests who have previously stayed, celebrated, or attended any event at The Manila Hotel, including but not limited to anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, conventions, inductions, graduations, corporate events, or hotel stays.

3. To join, guest has to register via https://bit.ly/irememberthedayatthemanilahotel, fill up the personal information, and submit a photo of the memento together with a brief story about the memento.

4. Acceptable mementos include, but are not limited to: printed photographs, menus, event invitations, hotel-issued items, and other memorabilia connected to a stay or event at the hotel.

5. A guest may submit multiple entries, provided that each entry represents a different experience or occasion. Duplicate or substantially similar submissions referring to the same occasion shall not be accepted, and only the first verified submission for that particular occasion shall be considered valid.

6. Each verified entry shall receive:

a. One (1) digital Certificate of Appreciation as an instant token. This will be sent to the email address provided by the guest.

b. A corresponding promotional voucher based on the type of memento submitted, subject to applicable terms and conditions, as follows:

i. Guest room stay memento:

1. 15% discount on accommodations based on Best Available Rate (BAR).

2. Blackout dates apply.

3. Voucher is valid for three (3) months upon date of issuance.

ii. Dining-related memento:

1. 50% discount at Café Ilang-Ilang from 2 to 10 diners. Available for lunch and dinner daily.

2. Blackout dates apply.

3. Voucher is valid for three (3) months upon date of issuance.

iii. Event-related memento:

1. Guest may choose one (1) of the vouchers listed above.

c. Once verified, guests will be notified via registered SMS, call, email, and mailing address.

d. Vouchers must be claimed at The Manila Hotel within sixty (60) days from receipt of notification; otherwise, the prize will be forfeited in favor of the hotel.

e. All vouchers are non-transferable, not convertible to cash, and may not be used in conjunction with other promotions and discounts.

f. Lost or damaged vouchers shall not be replaced.

7. Weekly Prize

a. A weekly electronic raffle draw will be conducted during the promo period.

b. All verified submissions received within each raffle period shall automatically earn one (1) entry for a chance to win one (1) Regular Prestige Card.

c. One (1) winner shall be drawn under the supervision of a DTI representative on the following dates:

d. One (1) winner shall be selected per week.

e. Prestige cards are valid for one (1) year upon issuance.

f. Winners will be notified via registered SMS, call, email, and mailing address, and will also be announced through the social media platforms of The Manila Hotel.

g. Prizes must be claimed at The Manila Hotel within sixty (60) days from receipt of notification; otherwise, the prize will be forfeited in favor of the hotel with prior DTI approval.

h. Prestige cards are transferable but not convertible to cash.

i. Lost or damaged Prestige cards shall not be replaced.

8. Monthly Prize

a. Five (5) Monthly Prize winners shall be selected during the promo period.

b. All verified submissions received within each covered period shall automatically be included in the monthly judging for a chance to win one (1) Overnight Stay in a Deluxe Room, inclusive of breakfast buffet at Café Ilang-Ilang for two (2) persons.

c. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:

i. 50% – Narrative and Storytelling (how effectively the story conveys the memory behind the memento)

ii. 25% – Originality and Authenticity (uniqueness and genuineness of the story and memento)

iii. 25% – Visual and Emotional Impact (ability of the photo and story to evoke emotion and leave a lasting impression)

d. Determination of the monthly winners will be supervised by a DTI representative on the following dates:

e. In case of a tie, the entry with a higher score in the Narrative and Storytelling criteria will be declared as the winner.

f. Monthly Prizes will be awarded in the form of a room voucher valid for one (1) year upon date of issuance.

g. Winners will be notified via registered SMS, call, email, mailing address, and will also be announced through the social media platforms of The Manila Hotel.

h. Prizes must be claimed at The Manila Hotel within sixty (60) days from receipt of notification; otherwise, the prize will be forfeited in favor of the hotel with prior DTI approval.

i. Room vouchers are transferable but not convertible to cash.

j. Lost or damaged room vouchers shall not be replaced.

k. Validity of room vouchers may not be extended.

l. Advance reservation is required. Blackout dates shall apply: Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

9. Grand Prize

a. At the end of the promo period, three (3) Grand Prize winners shall be selected from all the verified submissions from July 22 to December 31, 2026.

c. The electronic raffle draw of the three (3) Grand Prize winners will be conducted on January 15, 2027, under the supervision of a DTI representative:

d. The Grand Prize will be awarded in the form of a room voucher valid for one (1) year upon date of issuance.

e. Winners will be notified via registered SMS, call, email, and mailing address, and will also be announced through the social media platforms of The Manila Hotel.

f. Prizes must be claimed at The Manila Hotel within sixty (60) days from receipt of notification; otherwise, the prize will be forfeited in favor of the hotel with prior DTI approval.

g. Room vouchers are transferable but not convertible to cash.

h. Lost or damaged room vouchers shall not be replaced.

i. Validity of room vouchers may not be extended.

j. Advance reservation is required. Blackout dates shall apply: Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

10. Submission Cut-Off

a. For the purpose of determining eligibility for the Weekly, Monthly, and Grand Prize, only verified entries submitted on or before 11:59 PM (Philippine Standard Time) of the applicable submission cut-off date shall be included in the corresponding raffle draw or judging period.

b. Entries received after the cut-off shall be carried over to the next applicable qualifying period.

c. Entries submitted after 11:59 PM on December 31, 2026, shall no longer be accepted.

11. Prize Eligibility

a. Weekly Prize winners shall remain eligible to win the Monthly Prize and/or the Grand Prize.

b. Monthly Prize winners shall likewise remain eligible to win the Grand Prize. As multiple entries per participant are permitted, a Monthly Prize winner who is drawn as the Grand Prize winner using a different valid entry shall be entitled to receive both prizes.

c. However, if a Monthly Prize winner is selected as the Grand Prize winner using the same entry, the participant shall receive only the prize of higher value. The forfeited Monthly Prize shall be awarded to an alternate winner, to be determined through a redraw conducted under the supervision of a DTI representative.

12. Employees of The Manila Hotel, its sister companies, subsidiaries, and their relatives up to 2nd degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining this promotion.
