Grand endings, festive beginnings at the Manila Hotel's CONFETTI Party

New Year’s Eve is a time most spend reminiscing about the year gone by and preparing for whatever the new one has ahead. At the Manila Hotel, guests were in for a multi-sensory feast with its CONFETTI Party.
The celebration kicked off with a splendid crossover buffet that ran across Café Ilang-Ilang, Mabuhay Palace and the Champagne Room. Led by Executive Chef Konrad Walter, the Manila Hotel’s restaurants took guests on a gastronomic trip around the world. Guests were also treated to the colorful dessert buffet showcased at the Roma Salon.
Route 70 then played the best music from the ‘70s and ‘80s, bringing the crowd to their feet as midnight drew closer. Guests sang along to favorite party hits like “My Girl,” “Manila” and “Awitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko.” Armed with their noisemakers and happy hearts, patrons and the Manila Hotel team cheerfully counted down the final minutes of 2013.
Guests were then surrounded by champagne-colored balloon and gold confetti when the clock struck 12:00 of January 1, 2014. A lovely couple event got engaged on stage a few seconds after midnight. How’s that a great start to the year? All in all, partygoers were able to welcome 2014 in splendid Manila Hotel fashion, carrying with them all the well-wishes to get them through the year ahead.
