Philippine Eagle Foundation, Manila Hotel raise funds to save national bird
Jun 10, 2013
The Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) and the Manila Hotel celebrated Philippine Eagle Week by bringing together two known Filipino artists to help raise funds for the national bird at The Grande Dame’s Mabuhay Palace. Master baker Penk Ching of the Pastry Bin created a specially-designed cake in the likeness of Mabuhay, the third generation Philippine Eagle bred and raised in the PEF’s facility in Davao. Ambassador of Fashion Renee Salud (shown in photo) also made special bridal wear for two Limited Edition Philippine Eagle collectibles, which are available for public bidding to benefit the PEF’s preservation projects.
The Mabuhay-inspired cake, as well as the Limited Edition Philippine Eagle collectibles, will remain at the foyer area of Mabuhay Palace at the Manila Hotel until the end of the month. To bid for the collectibles, interested parties may get in touch with the Philippine Eagle Foundation through its executive director Dennis Salvador at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
