The Mooncake Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional harvest festival and is one of the most celebrated events of the Chinese. The Chinese believe that a full moon is a symbol of peace, prosperity, and family reunion. During the harvest season, when the moon is at its fullest and roundest, family and friends gather to dance, feast, and admire the full moon. Mooncakes, considered staples for this traditional celebration, make for perfect gifts to loved ones this special season.
For this festive occasion, Manila Hotel is offering five delectable mooncake flavors. Among the baked golden-hued mooncakes are, Single Yolk Pure White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake, Single Yolk Red Bean Paste Mooncake, Signature Black Sesame Paste with Roasted Melon Seeds, Sweet Corn Paste with Water Chestnut and Honeyed Assorted Nuts.
