'Dancing at the Maynila' returns on February 13
Feb 6, 2014
For decades, ballroom dancing was all the rage on the dance floor. During that time, the Foxtrot, Tango, Cha-Cha, Salsa and Waltz were more than forms of movement—they made up a way of life that celebrated success, love and abundance. The Manila Hotel is proud to bring back the élan as the new home of ballroom dancing in the metropolis.
Ballroom dancing takes on a different flair as the Maynila Ballroom opens its doors once again to an affair like no other on February 13 (Thursday). Guests are immediately transported to an era of opulence and sophistication. A vision of Philippine National Artist for Architecture Leandro Locsin, the Maynila Ballroom lends its classic elegance to the event with its five-meter high hand-carved narra arches and hand-painted ceiling, as well as the studded lights and indoor water fountains.
Guests can expect a lively and rousing performance from Nonoy Lopez and his band, while those eager to try ballroom dancing for the first time can seek the help of friendly dance instructors. Admission is PhP2,000 net per person and already includes a welcome drink and a party platter—plus dancing partners can come in for free.
